By using MinuteMic (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

MinuteMic is a speaking-practice app that gives you a topic, records a short audio clip in your browser, transcribes it, and returns AI-generated feedback and scores. The Service is provided free of charge, with usage limits (currently a limited number of sessions per day).

You need an account to practise. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login details secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
• submit content that is illegal, hateful, or infringes others' rights;
• attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service;
• abuse or attempt to bypass usage limits.

Scores and tips are generated automatically by AI and are provided for practice and entertainment only. They may contain errors and are not a substitute for professional coaching, training, or advice. We make no guarantee about the accuracy of any feedback.

You keep ownership of what you say and the transcripts of your sessions. By using the Service, you grant us permission to process your audio and transcript to provide the feedback features. As described in our Privacy Policy, your audio is not stored — only the transcript and scores are kept.

MinuteMic, its name, design, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding or code.

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Groq for transcription and analysis, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Vercel for hosting). Your use of the Service may also be subject to their terms.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and we may update features and limits, at any time without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MinuteMic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is free, and you use it at your own risk.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
